Goldview Property Management Ltd. is looking for a detail-oriented and motivated Accounting Bookkeeper to join our team. The ideal candidate should have a solid understanding of accounting principles and experience with bookkeeping software, especially QuickBooks Online, Yardi Systems etc.

 

Job Description:

 

  • Post journal entries and reconcile accounts, prepare trial balance of books, maintain general ledger, and assist with the preparation of financial statements.
  • Verify that transactions comply with financial policies and procedures.
  • Maintain records of fiscal and budgetary controls, ledgers and other transactions.
  • Ensure that financial records for all the properties accounted for under your responsibility are accurate and kept up to date.
  • Monitor and manage accounts payable aging reports and resolve any overdue payments.
  • Prepare other statistical, financial, and accounting reports as needed.
  • Keep financial records and establish, maintain, and balance various accounts using software like Yardi Genesis and Condo Manager.
  • Communicate with vendors and suppliers to ensure timely payment of invoices. Assist with the development and implementation of financial policies and procedures.
  • Provide support to the property management team as needed with financial analysis and reporting. Prepare and process checks for payments to vendors and suppliers.
  • Respond to employee inquiries related to payroll, taxes, benefits, and other compensation-related matters in a timely and professional manner.
  • Preparation of payroll-related reports, including payroll summaries, tax reports, and other relevant financial statements.
  • Coordinate with other departments to ensure that invoices are properly authorized and processed in a timely manner. Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures related to accounts payable.
  • Confirm accuracy of payment-related invoices against contracts/supporting documents & obtain necessary approvals, averting errors and unintended payments.
  • Ensure the confidentiality and security of all accounts Payable files
  • Research processing problems and responds to inquiries either by telephone or in writing refers;
  • If required, delivery and pick up of accounts Payable files; and
  • Other duties as required

 

Qualifications

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred; with at least 1 year Advance Accounting Post graduate Certificate.
  • Advance knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
  • Experience with QuickBooks Online or Desktop version, Yardi Systems, Accounting Software, Tally etc is required.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in maintaining financial records.
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word).
  • Ability to manage multiple properties within deadlines.
  • Excellent communication skills, both oral and written in English and French (an asset), Punjabi, Hindi, Cantonese/Mandarin, Spanish etc.
